Matt Gould
Chairman
Matt is a real estate investment veteran with over 40 years of experience. He currently serves as the Chairman & CEO of Gould Investors L.P., where his leadership has been instrumental in the company’s success. Previously, he held the position of President at Gould Investors L.P. He is also the Chairman of One Liberty Properties and holds roles as a Director and Senior Vice President at BRT Apartments Corp. Matt’s extensive expertise and strategic acumen make him a respected figure in the real estate industry.
Kyle Shenfeld CEO
Kyle is a dynamic professional with an impactful contribution to the Gould family. As the founder of Rainbow Realty Group, he has helped the company with three successful funds, blending innovation and excellence in real estate. In addition to their entrepreneurial pursuits, they serve as the Associate General Counsel of Gould Investors L.P., his family’s investment office. Prior to this, he honed his legal skills as an Associate in the Real Estate Department of Herrick Feinstein LLP. Kyle also founded H2GoBlue, focused on environmental sustainability and responsible water management.
Ben Bolanos
COO
Ben is the current COO of Rainbow Realty Group, where his strategic leadership is instrumental to the company’s success. His extensive real estate background includes previous roles as Vice President of Acquisitions at One Liberty Properties, as well as positions at Panther Properties Investment LLC and Compass Realty Associates. Ben’s expertise and experience make him a valuable asset in the real estate industry.
Isaac Kalish
CFO
Isaac is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience. He currently holds the position of Vice President and Treasurer of the Managing GP at Gould Investors L.P. since 2012. He has also been the Vice President and Assistant Treasurer at One Liberty Properties, Inc. since 2007. Isaac is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New York and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the New York State Society of CPAs. His prior experience includes roles as an Associate at Ernst & Young and Buchbinder Tunick & Co. Isaac’s financial expertise and commitment to his profession make him a valuable asset in the industry.
Tyler Gilliam
VP
Tyler is a diligent professional with a strong background in real estate. He previously worked as an Acquisitions Analyst at Alliance Manufactured Homes, where his analytical skills helped with the company’s success. Previously, he served as EVP of Business Development at Realogy Title Group. Tyler holds an MS in Real Estate Development from NYU, which underscores his expertise in the field. His experience and education make him a valuable member of the team.
Rainbow RG Team History
The management team of Rainbow Realty Group has an extensive successful history in the real property business, dating back to Gould Investors LP’s beginnings in 1962. Over the years, Gould has owned a wide variety of real properties, including many single-tenant, net leased, properties. Moreover, because of board and management positions taken in various banking institutions (e.g., Yonkers Bank, Bankers Federal, and the Bank of Great Neck), along with relatively significant ownership positions in these and other banks (e.g., Bayside Federal and North Fork Bank), Gould and its principals have extensive experience in real estate bank lending as well.
Since 1989, Rainbow Realty’s managers have also been the largest investor in, as well as board members, officers, and managers of, One Liberty Properties, Inc., a publicly traded REIT on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:OLP). One Liberty’s primary business is the acquisition and ongoing ownership of a geographically diverse portfolio of non-cannabis net leased retail and industrial properties. It currently owns 120 properties in 30 states consisting of approximately 11 million square feet.
Rainbow Realty Group acts as the submanager of MJ REIT. MJ REIT implores the same strategies as Rainbow’s flagship funds, but targets a different class of investors. The structure of MJ REIT is that of a private REIT rather than a long-term fund.
Chris Reece
CEO
Chris has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MJ REIT since its inception. He co-founded AC Capital Partners LLC, a national sponsor of alternative investments, and has over 25 years of experience in the asset management space.
Prior to starting AC Capital Partners and MJ REIT, he served as managing director with Arcview Capital, where he focused his efforts on developing relationships with independent broker-dealers, regional firms, and wires. Prior to joining Arcview Capital, he spent nine years at FS Investments, where he built a team of client portfolio managers focusing on private real estate, private credit, and liquid funds. He and his team helped to raise over $10 billion in assets. Before FS Investments, he spent five years as a Director with Turner Investment Partners (“Turner”), an investment firm that, at the time, managed more than $13 billion of securities for institutions and individuals.
Gopa Dobson
CRO
Gopa has served as Chief Revenue Officer for MJ REIT since October 2023. In her role, she focuses on business development and coordinating events in key markets. She brings her talent for driving revenue, developing deep relationships, and having the unique ability to connect individuals with an educational focus on MJ REIT. Before MJ REIT, she served as Business Development Director at Arcview Capital and Arcview Events & Experiences. She joined The Arcview Group in 2019 as Vice President of Strategic Relations with a passion for working in the cannabis industry after becoming an investor in the space. With a formidable background in sales, marketing, and partnerships for Faith Popcorn’s BrainReserve, MTV Networks, and in the non-profit world, she believes in creating partnerships with a customer-focused lens.
